Production Manager

  • Salary range Band 8 $114,823 to $128,678 plus 10.5% Super – Full time temporary maternity leave position

About the Organisation 

The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. About the Role

An opportunity to hold a senior position within the City of Port Phillip’s Festivals team and contribute to some of Melbourne and Victoria’s much-loved Music and Arts Festivals.  Reporting to the Coordinator Programming and Production, the Production Manager will lead the production design, planning and delivery of City of Port Phillips signature events, including St Kilda Festival, St Kilda Film Festival and First Nations Arts and Cultural Festivals.  

This is a Full time temporary maternity leave position for 12 months

Duties:

  • Manage delivery of production, operational and technical aspects for Festivals Produced by City of Port Phillip.
  • Recruit and manage production contract staff for each Festival 
  • Work with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure their interests are met within the context of the festival.
  • Engage and manage key suppliers and contracts

Skills and Experience 

  • Strong experience at a senior management level within technical and production related roles working on large scale outdoor events
  • Understanding and knowledge of OH&S and public safety principles as they relate to events and public spaces.
  • Extensive experience in the presentation of cultural events including film, music and arts
  • Strong CAD knowledge and experience
  • Victoria Drivers Licence Required
