Events Manager 

  • Salary Range Band 6 $95,799 - $104,420 plus 11.5% Super
  • Full time, temporary 12 month position, backfill due to long service leave
  • Located at St Kilda Town Hall with flexible working arrangements possible.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced event professional to join our team.

This role is responsible for facilitating the permitting of externally produced events on Council managed land. You will provide assessment, advice and approval for external event applications and some internal events. The role will focus on a cross section of outdoor events, trader activations, community events, markets and promotions.   

This is a full time temporary 12 month opportunity 

Duties:

  • Provide advice, approval and compliance for permitted events.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

Skills and Experience 

  • Demonstrated understanding and extensive experience in major outdoor events.
  • Experience in providing advice on the delivery and permitting of outdoor events. 
  • Ability to self-manage workloads, communicate clearly and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Local government experience essential, minimum of 3 years preferred.
  • The role includes weekend work and flexibility around hours.
