Customer Support Officer

  • Salary Range Band 4 $72,289 - $77,010 (pro rata) plus 11.5% Super 
  • Part-time ongoing position (21 hours)
  • Located across five Library branches within the City of Port Phillip.

The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. About the Role

Our Customer Support Officers are the heart of our Library service and are responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience across our five Library branches. You will have a passion for your community and will create safe, diverse and inclusive spaces for people of all demographics.

Duties:

  • Provide welcoming, knowledgeable customer, information and reader advisory service across five Library branches.
  • Support the Library Services and Operations and Collections teams in delivering a range of services.
  • Will be required to work evenings and weekends to support the operational requirements of the library.

Skills and Experience 

  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment with customers from diverse backgrounds preferably in a library setting.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as a member of a high-performing team with a commitment to solve challenges together and be accountable to each other.
  • A flexible and adaptive approach to service delivery and a desire to learn
