Senior Shared Transport Planner

  • Salary Range Band 7 $111,873 - $125,191 plus 12% Super
  • Full time permanent role
  • Located at St Kilda Town Hall with flexible working arrangements possible

About the Organisation 

The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. About the Role

Join a small, dynamic team shaping the future of transport in Port Phillip! This role helps expand car share options, manage shared transport services, and explore new technologies to make travel easier and more sustainable. Working with providers and government, you’ll help deliver smarter ways for our community to move and connect.

Duties:

  • Help shape our transport policies for shared services and innovative transport solutions
  • Expand the network of car share vehicles across Port Phillip and manage the performance of Car Share Providers to realise Council’s targets
  • Build strong partnerships with shared transport providers, government and stakeholders to deliver high-performing services for our community.
  • Keep things moving smoothly by managing agreements, processes, and public information for shared transport programs.

Skills and Experience 

  • Applied knowledge of integrated transport issues, particularly facing Council and related to emerging transport technology and shared transport services.
  • Experience in designing, implementation and evaluation of shared transport services, performance based service contracts or similar service delivery programs. 
  • Project management skills with an understanding of the complexities and benefits of integrated transport and parking management outcomes.
