Strategic Asset Lead

  • Salary Range Band 7 $111,873 to $125,191 plus 12% super 
  • 6 month Full time fixed term positions

About the Organisation 

The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. City of Port Phillip has zero tolerance for child abuse and is a committed Child Safe organisation. 

About the Role

  • Drive the transformation of asset management at the City of Port Phillip. Build a proactive, future focused approach that strengthens the resilience, safety and reliability of our $3.6 billion asset portfolio.
  • Lead long term infrastructure planning and champion best practice asset management to ensure high quality community outcomes.
  • You’ll join a motivated, values driven Asset Management team committed to excellence, innovation and delivering long term community benefit.

3 x full time fixed term positions 

Duties:

  • Drive proactive asset management culture across all infrastructure classes
  • Lead lifecyle modelling, risk management and long-range forecasting
  • Create and define Asset Management Plans and Service Plans
  • Build integrated, future-focused renewal and maintenance programs
  • Develop strong partnerships with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders

Skills and Experience 

  • Experience in strategic asset planning or long term infrastructure programs
  • Strong capability in contract mangement and project leadership
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Teritiary qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, Asset Management or related field
