About the Organisation
The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. About the Role
Are you passionate about leading teams that strengthen community connection and support people to age well? We are seeking a Team Leader Positive Ageing to guide a skilled and committed team delivering inclusive programs that promote wellbeing, independence and social connection for older people. Reporting to the Head of Aged Access, you will work collaboratively across Council and with community and sector partners to shape services, build strong relationships and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead the Positive Ageing team to deliver inclusive programs that support wellbeing, connection and healthy ageing
- Drive strategic development and continuous improvement of services that increase participation of older people
- Drive strategic development and continuous improvement of services that increase participation of older people
- Build strong partnerships across Council, community and sector stakeholders to strengthen access and inclusion
- Implement the postive ageing initiatives, supporting reporting, evaluation and cross-organisation outcomes
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams in community, ageing or related service environments
- Proven ability to plan, deliver and evaluate inclusive programs that improve wellbeing and social connection
- Strong knowledge of the aged care and positive ageing landscape, including current reforms and policy directions
- Well developed stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills
- Degree or diploma in Community Services or a related field, with a current Victorian Driver Licence
