- Band 8 $130,108 to $145,807 plus 12% Super

About the Organisation
The City of Port Phillip is an inner city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. City of Port Phillip has zero tolerance for child abuse and is a committed Child Safe organisation.
About the Role
Lead a high impact program that keeps critical early years services running during major infrastructure upgrades.
Build strong relationships with childcare operators, families and regulators while coordinating service relocations (decanting) and returns (reoccupation) across multiple sites.
Work closely with the Manager Portfolio Projects and collaborate across Early Years, Property, Communications and project delivery teams to ensure services remain safe, compliant and operational with minimal disruption.
This is a unique opportunity to shape service continuity, enhance stakeholder experience and protect community confidence during complex program delivery.
This is a fixed term role for 24 months.
Duties
- Lead service decanting and reoccupation across childcare services and community facilities
- Build strong partnerships with service providers, regulators and internal teams
- Coordinate temporary sites to ensure they are safe, compliant and operational
- Monitor risks, resolve issues early and provide clear program reporting
- Support communication with families and community to minimise disruption
Skills and Experience
- Experience in early childhood services, regulated environments or similar settings
- Track record delivering relocations, operational change or complex programs
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Degree in relevant field such as early childhood, community services, project management or similar
