- Salary Range Band 7 $115,229 - $128,947 plus 12% Super (pro rata)
- 0.8FTE until end May 2027, then increasing to full time

About the Organisation
The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. City of Port Phillip has zero tolerance for child abuse and is a committed Child Safe organisation.
About the Role
Working in a team of creative and energetic community engagement specialists, you’ll support project teams to develop, deliver, report on and evaluate engagement programs.
You’ll play an important role in amplifying the many diverse voices of our community to ensure Council decisions are based on need and aspirations. This is a chance for you to help shape Port Phillip’s facilities, services, amenities and planning, contributing to a liveable and vibrant city that enhances the wellbeing our of community.
This role is 0.8FTE until end May 2027, then increasing to full time
Duties:
- Scope, plan, implement and evaluate engagement projects
- Advise and support Council staff on community engagement projects
- Support refining engagement practices and processes
- Analyse data, report on engagement findings and undertake research activities
- Maintain and administer Council’s online community engagement portal, Have Your Say
Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, and/or significant experience in community engagement planning and reporting.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills for a range of audiences
- Ability to work flexibly within a team, in a complex environment
- Certification in IAP2 practices and experience in local government highly desirable
