Sponsorship and Special Events Manager

  • Salary Range Band 6 ($102,620 – $111,855) plus 12% Super
  • Full time, 4-month temporary position through to 5 March 2027
  • Located at St Kilda Town Hall or with flexible working arrangements possible.

The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. About the Role

We are looking for an experienced event professional to join the St Kilda Festival team to assist with the delivery of the 2027 St Kilda Festival.

This role is responsible for managing all of the on-site production requirements for festival events and activity participants, including community groups, sponsors, charity organisations and individuals.

This will also include issuing necessary permits for all participating activations.

Duties:

  • Facilitate production requirements for sponsors and event participants, including infrastructure, operations, community and safety
  • Prepare all necessary permits
  • Supervision of casual event staff management staff and volunteers
  • Work effectively in a dynamic team environment

Skills and Experience

  • The ability to self-manage workloads, communicate clearly and work effectively in a dynamic team environment
  • Highly developed communication skills and the ability to liase with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels including council officers and production staff.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in planning, project management and communication roles
  • Ability to meet short deadlines and maintain high level of work standards
